Some say that December is a tough month to build a network marketing business...others say it is one of their best months of the year. I suspect that if your intention is that December is a financially prosperous and business-builder month, it is!
To build a strong network marketing business, in December or any other month, here are 5 vital requirements:
1) DESIRE
Know your "Why" for building your business. People leave the network marketing industry because they have not identified their desire (their reason) for building the business. Here's a hint: it's not the money! Focus on what the money will get you and others, give the money somewhere to go.
2) BELIEF
To have belief in yourself, your product, your company and the network marketing industry will require personal growth. Read books, study your company, understand the network marketing industry itself. And, be consistent in what you do. Read for 20 minutes a day, listen to at least one company conference call a week (live or recorded), decide to talk with one new person a day...and then do it!
3) WILLINGNESS TO WORK
Discipline your disappointments. You can want network marketing to work for you all day long, but if you let a few "no's" keep you off the phone for days at a time, you won't be successful. Don't allow yourself to get too excited or too discouraged. Be willing to work consistently.
4) BE TEACHABLE
Follow your company's prospecting system. From the very first contact with your prospects, you are teaching THEM how to work your network marketing business. They will do what you do. If you are teachable and follow your company's system, so will your entire team of thousands. Your residual income is created by building networks of business builders...be teachable yourself and you'll build a teachable network.
5) BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION
You hear people talk about getting in on the "ground floor"... that is not the beginning. Any high rise building has a foundation far, far below the ground. When things don't seem to be going as quickly as you anticipated, recognize that you are building the foundation...you are not above ground yet. But, when that ground floor is reached, the building goes high up into the sky quite quickly. 85% to 90% of top money earners in the network marketing industry come into their company after the company is 5 years old. I think that applies to YOUR company, too. The top earners in your organization will likely show up after you've been working at building your business for 5 years. The only way for you not to financially gain by them is if YOU aren't around in 5 years. Don't quit. Build a strong foundation.
