Do You Want To Grow Your Networking Business BIG?

Do you want to grow your network marketing business BIG? 
I guess that's a rhetorical question...

Someone once asked if network marketing is a "get rich quick" business... he was asked "Well, are you looking for a way to get rich SLOW?"

BIG and FAST...that's what most of us are looking for.  And, it's possible in our industry of choice.

But, it's not happening that way for the vast majority.  Why is that?

You've heard that to be successful you must read the books, listen to the Cd's, attend meetings and do presentations.  All of those things are absolutely required.  But that isn't all.  You can do all those things and still not have a BIG network marketing business.

Do you know why?

Because you don't think you deserve it! 
Yep, like it or not... YOU are the only thing in your way.

When people DECIDE they are going to go to the top of their companies, they do.  For some people that decision (that deserve level) is already ingrained. Others work years with virtually zero income, and then go to the top in a few months... why?  They changed their deserve level.

I encourage you to be brutally honest with yourself.  Do you really BELIEVE that you deserve to have financial freedom?  Do you really BELIEVE you deserve that dream home, dream car, dream life?

I don't think you do believe it, or else all those things would be yours right now.

Want to build your networking business BIG?  Then increase your deserve level.

Corporate Lay-offs Equal Lots of Opportunity

Is there anyone in the United States who isn't aware that thousands (probably millions) of jobs are being sent overseas? 

If your job was eliminated because someone overseas would do the same work for significantly less compensation, would you still have confidence in corporate America?  I sure wouldn't and I'm betting thousands of other people would agree with me.

The way I see it, employment/corporate lay-offs equal a tremendous opportunity for the network marketing industry!

Network marketing provides a vehicle for almost anyone to take charge of their lives.  With very small financial investment, anyone has the opportunity to become an entrepreneur. The investment I see in network marketing is in determination and consistency, not monetary. 

Do you have friends in corporate America?  Maybe their jobs haven't been eliminated YET. Don't you owe it to your friends and family to let them know there is an alternative?  Your business is likely the safety net others are praying for.

The beauty of the network marketing industry is that anyone can change their financial situation, in a relatively short period of time.  Dedication and consistency is all that's required. Network marketing is the vehicle to empower disenchanted lives: Even the lives of 50 and 60 year old corporate managers who lost the retirement security they thought they had.  Thousands of "early-retired" people are financially free because of the network marketing industry.

Corporate lay-offs equal a lot of opportunity for the network marketing industry.  Who do you know who could use a life-raft right now?  Paddle on over and toss your friends a line... you have what they are looking for!

Network Marketing: A Deck of 52

In studying the network marketing industry I have discovered that in nearly every single company, top producers have personally sponsored or hosted between 40 and 60 people.

Let's use 50 as a mid-range... OK, let's use 52:  The number of cards in a full deck.

How many aces are there in a deck of cards?  4, right? 

Well, that's what we are looking for in the network marketing industry... we are looking for our 4 aces. Each one is different (hearts, spades, clubs, diamonds) but each is the top of the line.

4 aces will make you wealthy in the network marketing industry.

Here's the thing.  7's,  8's,  10's are good.  But they aren't aces and they never will be.

Don't try to turn your 10's into aces.  Work with the 10's and keep sifting and sorting to find your aces.  They are there.  Every deck of 52 has 4 aces....

Keep shuffling until you find yours. 

Is Network Marketing Really For You?

You are doing WHAT???

Are you telling me that last night you went to that meeting and you signed up in one of those pyramid things??

Don't you know those things are illegal??

Well.  You go right ahead and do this networking thing, but don't you dare talk to our friends, family, neighbors, anyone at church, no body at work.  Nobody we know!

Have you ever heard any of these statements and questions?  If you've been in the network marketing industry more than a few weeks, I bet you have.

The good news is that YOU are still here!  There are a lot of folks who hear these sorts of things and shrivel up... shrink away... quit.  As Jim Rohn says "The birds got them!"

Of course, there are times when negative statements and accusatory questions dampen your spirits.  Every single person in this industry has heard and dealt with stupid people.  Just remember that you can't fix stupid, and you don't want those people in your business anyway.

I encourage you to listen to Jerry Clark.  When people ask him if he's talking to them about the network marketing industry he says "YES!  I'm talking about huge residual income!"

We create a tougher skin... let negative comments inflame our passion for our industry... we continue to work, our checks get larger, our business sense increases... soon we are living lives that most people only dream about.

Is network marketing really for you?  You bet it is! 

Want A Sale? Create Value For The Prospect

When you make prospecting calls, do you talk exclusively about yourself and your company?

Know what?  The prospect doesn't care a whole lot about that.

To make a sale, know something about your prospect AND how your company or products will be of value to the prospect.

If you're prospecting a business owner, investigate the business on the Internet.  Know who the company is and what you can offer that will be of value: can you help reduce the bottom line (generate more profit), create savings the employees or the company itself (create company benefits) or reduce work time?  Know how your product or services will benefit your prospect.

To make a sale, go into your presentations prepared to answer objections.  Again: Know who the prospect is and what you can offer that will be of value.  Objections from your prospect are simply a way of asking for more information.  Objections indicate an interest in your product or service.  Arrive at your presentations anticipating your prospect's objections and be prepared to turn the objection into a sale.  KNOW how your product or service will be of value to your prospects.

If your sales are down, I bet you aren't providing "value" information to your prospects.  Give this a try and let me know how it works for you!

You Are Selling Yourself

There are thousands of network marketing and MLM companies out there.

There are millions of network marketing independent marketing directors.

Why should your prospect choose you and your company?

It's really not the products.  It's really not the company.  It's really not the compensation plan.

Of course, each of those factor into the final decision, but the biggest factor is YOU.

Are you a confident leader?  Do you exude friendliness, integrity, professionalism?

Most people are looking for a way to take their lives to the next level.  Everyone wants to be a success.  No body wants to die with their song still inside.  Most people are looking for someone to follow.

You are selling yourself, so do a good job of it.  KNOW your company and your products.  Be honest about the amount of time and effort required to build a strong network marketing company, and the resulting residual income.  KNOW the objections most of your prospects have about your company or products and be able to teach non-threatening responses to your new business partners.

Encourage personal growth.  Have a list of books and Cd's to recommend to your new people.  Be sure they are registered for your company's training programs.  Take them to local and regional business meetings.  Be a leader. Read the books, listen to the Cd's, attend the meetings.  You are selling yourself.

Create incentive programs for your personal organization.  Your company has incentive programs, but create little ones for your group.  Recognize even the smallest accomplishment.  Send inspirational and encouraging cards.

You are selling yourself.  And, you will be duplicated.  What if everyone in your group did exactly what you did today? Be a leader. Everyone is watching... and copying.

"I MIGHT Call You Back in 60 Days..."

We've all heard the same ol' lines....

"I've got to talk to my wife";  "I need to think about it";  "Let me look at the website";  "yadddah, yadddah, yadddah..."

When you are put off with these statements, what do you do?  Well, you COULD say "OK, I understand, I know you're busy" 

OR

You could say "OK, I understand... I MIGHT call you back in 60 days. I'm really busy and I'm looking for and working with people who are ready now."

Know what will happen then?  Your put-you-off prospect will suddenly be more interested and probably ready to get started on your team!

Know why?  Because you told him/her that you are moving on. "This train is pulling out and you can be on it or NOT on it... make up your mind."

Even In Network Marketing, You Have To Ask For The Sale

You have done everything right...You have followed your companies system to the "T".

Now you are sitting in your prospects living room, they have seen your entire program and they are pretty excited about what you have to offer.

Now what?

I suggest you ask a few closing questions.

"Which part of this program are you more interested in... the products or the earnings?"

"Did you see how you can take your life to the next level of time freedom or financial freedom?"

"On a scale of 1 to 10... 1 is I'm not interested and 10 is I'm ready to sign up... where would you say you are on that scale of 1 to 10?"

"What questions do I need to answer for you to fill out the paper work and get on our team tonight?"

"Besides the money, is there any other concern you have about this program?"  "Anything else?"

When you ask these questions you are getting to the bottom of your prospects concerns and objections.  When you know their objections you can make the sale.

If you don't ask, you usually don't know. If you don't know, you aren't in a position to provide the information your prospect is really looking for.

You have to ask for the sale...

"This Is My Network Marketing Business..."

We've discussed posture on this blog before...

You know "posture".  It's the way you appear to your prospects.  It's how confident you sound on the telephone and in person.  It's the final straw in how people perceive your business opportunity.

Keep in mind that this is YOUR network marketing BUSINESS.  This is your business.  It is the vehicle you have chosen to take your life to the next level. 

You are in charge of your business... you are interviewing prospects to see if they qualify to be a part of your organization. 

Not everyone qualifies.

You are interviewing your prospects:  Here is a speech I recently heard just prior to a prospect being shown a network marketing business opportunity.  The presenter said:

"I want you to understand something. 
I'm not here to sell you anything.
I am doing this - for myself and for my family.
It doesn't matter to me if you do this or not...
I am doing it.
I'm looking for some people to help build this thing...
I am going to the top."

These statements were made with sincerity and passion.

People signed up like crazy!

You don't need anybody.  This is YOUR network marketing BUSINESS!
