I just had the pleasure of re-listening to Jim Rohn's fantastic CD titled "Building Your Network Marketing Business". If you haven't listened to this treasure, get your hands on a copy and TAKE NOTES!
On this blog we've often discussed "posture". Mr. Rohn addresses this issue as succinctly and clearly as anyone I've heard... and I'd forgotten how fantastic his posture presentation is.
In network marketing, mlm, building a marketing network, direct sales... whatever you call your particular business... the bottom line is that we are in the business of getting other people to market our products and/or services.
As you prospect, you'll find people who are interested and those who are not. Are you keeping track of your yes to no ratio? If not, you might give it a try. Here's the thing... a ratio has developed, whether you are keeping track or not. Jim Rohn suggests we get "good enough" to achieve a ratio of 3 yeses out of every 10 prospecting calls.
He suggests you call your friends and say "I am showing my business opportunity today and I'd love for you to see it. I am now signing up 3 out of 10 people I talk to, and it does not matter to me whether you sign up in my business or not. I get 3 out of 10, so you come be one of the 7!"
How is that for creating immediate posture? When you tell someone it doesn't matter to you whether they are part of your team or not, what happens? Of Course! They want on the team!
Have fun with this... and listen to Jim Rohn. He has a lot of excellent ideas to help you build a strong and successful network marketing business.
